"Maybe we like the pain. Maybe we're wired that way. Because without it, I don't know; maybe we just wouldn't feel real. What's that saying? Why do I keep hitting myself with a hammer? Because it feels so good when I stop."

-Meredith Grey, Grey's Anatomy

We look for love not because it's lonely to be watching movies alone..
sad to eat meals on your own or because its nice to cuddle up with someone on rainy days..
We look for love because we want to be accepted.
..for the sloppy way we dress,
..for the clumsy way we eat our meals,
..for bad hair days and for the simplicity in us.
Love is an act of acceptance. That with all our imperfections, we are still loved.
"If you're too analytical, you'll miss the miracle. If you're too literal, you'll miss the joke. Being too skeptical is fun but being open-minded open doors to a happier life."

You see a lot of smart guys with dumb women, but you hardly ever see a smart woman with a dumb guy.

"Purity is the opposite of integrity the cruelest thing you can do to a person is make her ashamed of her own complexity. The stories of our lives have no morals. Any single conclusion drawn would be false; the episodes, taken together, are untranslatable, incomparable. If we are to conclude at all, we can only conclude against conclusions." -an excerpt from Fighting For Our Lives

"Don't risk anything you aren't willing to lose.” -boy meets world
"I wish there were a rulebook for intimacy. Some kind of guide to tell you when you've crossed the line. It would be nice if you could see it coming, and I don't know how you fit it on a map. You take it where you can get it, and keep it as long as you can. And as for rules, maybe there are none. Maybe the rules of intimacy are something you have to define for yourself." - Grey's Anatomy

Stop basing your happiness on how you compare with other people. Don't get sucked into the comparison game. Too many people waste their lives pursuing things they don't really want just beacause they can't bear the idea of someone having something they don't.

"There's no shame in being afraid. Hell, we're all afraid. What you gotta do is figure out what you're afraid of, because when you put a face on it you can beat it. Better yet, you can use it. Looking back on what I said all those years ago, all the hopes and dreams I had, I've come to the conclusion that if having things turn out the way you wanted them to is a measure of a successful life, then some would say I'm a failure."

-One Tree Hill
Most people are stronger than they know. They just forget to believe in it sometimes.
-One Tree Hill
"You shouldn't have to sacrifice who you are just because somebody else has a problem with it."
-Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City
"Being miserable doesn't make you better than others. It just makes you...miserable."
-Dr. James Wilson, HOUSE M.D.
"Keep in mind that we should always thank those who hurt us, specially those who did so bad, we are forced to transform. They risk the eternal verdict of going to hell just to make us better than who we are."

-Tyra Banks
"Do you know what makes first time/s different?

It's the only history that never repeats itself."
"To be old and wise, you must first be young and stupid."

Cute is when a person's personality shines through their looks. Like in the way they walk, every time you see them you just want to run up and hug them.
We don't read and write poetry because it's cute.
We read and write poetry because we are
members of the human race. And the human race
is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business,
engineering, these are noble pursuits and
necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty,
romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.”

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It isn't just some of us, it is everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." - Nelson Mandela
